Seafood Escape @ Harris Crab House & Seafood Restaurant

“FOOD – FRIENDS – SUNSHINE” was the theme for this past weekend

but the sun dipped out, leaving me with clouds and rain.

Either way, Rebecca and I still escaped to Kent Narrows (about 1hr away from Germantown, Maryland) for a little seafood escape.

We were on the Chesapeake Bay by 10:30 a.m. and decided to kick off our escape with shopping at the Queenstown Outlets since it was a little too early for lunch.

Hunger stroke and off we were to Harris Crab House & Seafood Restaurant.

The view was very nice but the weather, so cloudy!

We were seated on the top level of the restaurant as the lower level was reserved for a large party.

Outside seating was closed, due to the weather.

To our surprise, Woodbrige’s Moscato on the Wine List.

WHOOP! WHOOP!

Lunch was DEFINITELY off to a great start ☺

APPETIZERS

Calamari for Rebecca.

Hush Puppies for me.

I just love Hush Puppies ☺

They were freshly made and OH SO GOOD!

Now, onto Rebecca’s Calamari.

THE “MEATIEST” Calamari I’ve had, EVER!

Must be the Chesapeake Bay. DEFINITELY!

Dipped them in that Aioli, DELICIOSO & perfectly paired!

I had to pump my brakes and save room for my Crab Imperial entrée as these

appetizers were hitting the spot!

We both went for the Crab Imperial with French Fries, Potato Salad & Cole Slaw.

I loooooooooooooove Potato Salad but didn’t like theirs.

It had some sweetness to it that turned me off.

I switched to French Fries. Perfect!

Cole Slaw was OK.

NOW!

The Crab Cake was meaty, no fillings, just LUMP CRAB MEAT and

that’s just how you want to eat a crab cake.

IT WAS REALLY GOOD.

That little piece of Corn Bread was magic.

So magic that I ate Rebecca’s (she didn’t want it).

WE WERE STUFFED!

The restaurant got even more crowded by the time we were leaving.

The waiting area was PACKED.

We didn’t leave right away.

Took a walk outside on the dock.

Just beautiful, despite clouds.

I can only imagine what Summer would be like on this little patio area.

I picture:

Boats, Drinks, Food and Music!

Needless to say that we will definitely be back to visit, especially

for those delicious crabs I saw folks going in on!
