Comfort Food at Its FINEST @ Founding Farmers Moco

I honestly don’t know why it took me so long to check out this restaurant.

NO IDEA.

The kicker is that they are only 10-15 minutes from where I live, right off exit 4 on I-270.

What made me decide to finally eat here?

My brother snapped me a picture from his dining experience at Moco’s Founding Farmers.

He said it was SO GOOD + the Hubby’s barber had also mentioned it.

OK now, 2 people, within 2 weeks?

It sure was a sign.

Founding Farmers is a farm to table restaurant, which means freshness and quality are guaranteed.

The holiday weekend was perfect for this new escapade as my foodie friend, Yasmine  was visiting from Richmond, VA. She is also the founder of Journal d’Une Foodie.

I browsed their menu online and immediately knew what I would order!

At the last minute, friends and my sister joined us as well.

The more, THE MERRIER!

Made reservations. As always.

We were immediately taken to our table.

Driss, our server, went over the menu and took our drink orders.

He mentioned that they made their own soda in-house and shared a couple of options.

I went for the Ginger and Basil-based soda, which was so refreshing.

So many menu options:Pancakes. Waffles. Eggs. Benedicts. French Toast.

I stuck with my selection: Chicken and Waffles (dinner portion), which is served with white and dark meat, which Mimi and Diane selected as well.

This meal also comes with Mac N Cheese, Green Beans (I substituted for Collard Greens) and White Gravy.

The Breakfast option is served with Chicken Tenders, which Emmanuela (my sister) went for. She also ordered the Table Biscuits, which Driss said what a PERFECT choice.

Let me tell you!

This Chicken and Waffle platter is THE BUSINESS.

EVERY SINGLE THING ON MY PLATE WAS DELICIOUS.

The chicken had crunch, was well-seasoned TOO!

Portions are BIG and enough for 2 to share.

Served with Honey Butter, these biscuits tasted like they came out of your Mama’s kitchen!

Hands down, the BEST biscuits I’ve ever had.

Watch out, you can get addicted to these biscuits!

Per my recommendation, Yasmine ordered the Crab Benedict and a stack of Original Pancakes.

Rebecca ordered the same as well.

The crab meat on that Benedict was D E L I C I O U S.

Definitely what I am ordering on my next visit!

The pancakes were REALLY REALLY GOOD.

I didn’t know you could make pancakes this GOOD!

The food was A M A Z I N G.

The service was I M P E C C A B L E.

The Manager stopped by to greet us and asked about our experience.

I told her that Driss was a great example of what CUSTOMER SERVICE really means.

He was very pleasant. Always smiling.

Thanks Driss for an awesome brunch experience!
