Steamed Snow Crab Legs

If you are a seafood lover like me, then you might want to continue reading because I have an easy, delicious and simple recipe for cooking crab legs.

INGREDIENTS

Crab Legs (I used snow crab legs for this recipe)

Old Bay Seasoning

Paprika

Cajun Seasoning

3 12fl oz bottles of Modelo Especial (or the beer of your choice)

Yup, that’s it!

You expected more, didn’t you?

TOOLS

Steaming Pot / Steamer

PREPARATION

The crab legs were frozen when I purchased them so I thawed them overnight in my kitchen sink.

I laid them all out and flat in a large aluminum pan to ensure that they were all evenly coated with my seasonings. You can also use a large baking sheet pan.

P.S.: add spices/seasonings to your liking.

COOKING

I poured the beer in the bottom of my pot and layered all of my crab legs in the large steaming basket.

I also prepped some jumbo shrimp (seasoned with the same spices) in the smaller steaming basket of the pot.

I kept the shell on because I just love being able to peel it all off and gently pull the shrimp out of the tail with my teeth. Get the visual?

It is just satisfying, wouldn’t you agree?

OK, back to cooking!

I set my stove on medium heat and let it all steam for about 15 minutes or until the crab legs and shrimp were cooked through.

Et voila.

SERVING

Set your crab legs in a large platter.

Garnish with the shrimp and a couple of lemon wedges.

DEGUSTATION

If you love spicy, I enjoyed drizzling some Old Baby Hot Sauce on the crab legs.

For the shrimp, I mixed some of the hot sauce with some cocktail sauce for dipping.

It all turned all so yummy + delicious.

Hope you enjoy this recipe!
